Referee and his daughter were tested by Purdue Vet Hospital; found 100% deaf; and expert opinion links the deafness to a genetic condition tied to the overo coloring.
(Note - this is the opinion of the experts and not my own personal opinion)
Referee was a Reserve National Champion and Multiple Top Ten while shown with his sire and his full brother.
Referee was offered for sale for $25,000 as a double registered breeding stallion when I purchased him almost 6 yrs ago. Please call me to find the registration status of this horse.

I paid $4,000 for the breeding to Black Velvet at the World show, plus shipping both ways. Black Velvet does not stand to outside mares so this was the only way to get this cross.
